That being said, start off your new subscribers with a few follow up series of emails only.
Mass email marketing having 30-60 day follow up emails really annoy people. It is better to build up a more personal relationship with your subscribers. (More on that in a moment).
I mean, isn’t it kind of obvious when you get follow up emails and you get annoyed by them yourself? I think so….

Well, you use broadcasting.
You need to “feed” your list with new content every other day. Just remember that your email marketing list is your most valuable asset.
The trouble is that you can’t broadcast 1 email to all your subscribers. You need to categorize them.
Usually the top guys section their subscribers into 3 email marketing lists.
- New subscriber list,
- Potential customer list,
- Customer list.

Anyway, targeted email marketing strategies are more likely to result in higher conversions.

Well it’s all in the copywriting! If you write crappy subject lines, people won’t open your emails… And if you write crappy emails, people won’t read or click through to whatever you’re promoting.
Two things are necessary:
- You need to write killer subject lines,
- And enticing emails that will leave people curious to click on your links to learn more.
First of all, every email you write must have a very specific purpose.
It either has to “feed” your list with free content, or it needs to promote something.
So let’s say you’re promoting something.
Promoting or selling to your email marketing list can be tough, so using 1 wrong word in a subject line can mean 20% less sales.

So start with your subject lines.
So when writing subject lines, you should try and make people curious. Curious enough for them to open your email. You need to be different, that’s all.
Your subject lines need to be funny, weird, obscure, bizarre and generally “off the wall”.
Using something in the subject line like ‘out of the blue’, ‘stop thief’, ‘pigs don’t know pigs stink’, which have nothing to do with my actual niche peak curiosity.
At least 95% of other marketers literally summarize their emails in their subject lines. It’s funny because that’s exactly what not to do. If you summarize your email in the subject line, people won’t even open it.
Why? Well because we are usually selling something. At the end of the day, we are all selling something and people hate to be sold to.
But… if you clearly state you’re selling something or you want your subscribers to do something they’re not comfortable with, they won’t even open your email. While this is all common sense, you’ll be surprised how often people make these dumb mistakes.
Your subject lines don’t have to be totally random, just play around with new ideas and concepts.
Next is the actual body of the email text itself.
If you tell people you’re selling something in your subject line, you’re seriously doomed! (And this is where most marketers fail).
If someone’s reading your email, it means you have already sold them on the idea and you have their full attention.
The truth is that most subscribers won’t open your email simply because they don’t like your subject line, so if your subject line catches their attention, they will usually read all of your email. That is, if it’s not too long.

So just a few tips on writing your emails. Make them short, people hate long emails.
Remember that selling stuff online is all about making people take baby steps.
Then write short and to the point emails. I would include a promotional link up to 4 times max.
Always make your sentences short.
You can play around with it, but the best results come from emails that are less than half a page in width, maybe even a quarter.
In your emails, you want to build up curiosity while at the same time making subscribers more aware of what you’re promoting.
Always use “the secrecy factor”. The secrecy factor will make people want to click on your links. Like:
- “[[NAME]], you’re not going to believe this”.
- “They’ve been hiding it from us for so long and it’s so top secret that the page might be taken down any minute.”
Stuff like that always works every time! People are a curious breed and they just love secrets.

It’s all about the basics!
Write weird subject lines, short emails, build up curiosity, make it personal, make your links top secret and people will click on them.
As I was saying, it’s all about baby steps. If you stuff what you’re selling in your subject line, you’ll lose perfectly good subscribers for life.

But if you follow these email marketing strategies, you’ll have people opening your emails.
Using “P.S.” will also greatly enhance your click through rates. Here you can build on the curiosity of people to get them to click on your links.
Just remember emails are not for selling.
Your optin pages and your sales pages are for selling. From there you can draw your subscribers into your marketing funnel.

A good email marketing plan is to build up curiosity and to pre-sell your subscribers on whatever you’re promoting.
As by the time they reach your sales page, they should be very interested in what you’re selling.
And by the time they reach your order form, they must be 100% convinced that buying your product is the right decision.
First you gotta get people to open your emails, then read them and click on your links.
